Fix the playing platform before styling details
Body outline is only one part of an electric guitar project. Scale length, neck joint, neck profile, fingerboard radius, fret size and bridge type affect both tooling and playability. These points should be fixed before colour, binding and decorative details are approved.
Electronics need the same level of detail. Pickup type and position, control layout, switching, cavity shielding and output testing should be written into the sample brief. If a component brand or grade is not fixed, the buyer can state the target level and ask the factory to quote a practical option.
What to include in an electric guitar inquiry

target market, player group and expected retail position;
body platform, scale length, neck joint and neck profile;
body, neck and fingerboard material requirements;
pickup layout, controls, bridge, tuners and other hardware;
finish, colour standard, logo, labels and packaging;
estimated quantity, sample deadline and approval points.

Approve the complete sample, not only its appearance
Sample review should cover neck relief, fret work, truss-rod adjustment, action, intonation, pickup output, controls, grounding, hardware installation and finish. The approved specification and revision notes should then be used for bulk production and pre-shipment inspection.
