Define the market before choosing the specification
An acoustic guitar brief should start with the intended customer and retail position. A student model, a regular retail model and a higher-spec instrument do not need the same body construction, top material, neck work, hardware or packaging. Clarifying that position first helps the quotation remain realistic and makes sample approval easier.
Buyers should also confirm the body style and size rather than sending only a product photo. Dreadnought, OM, auditorium and smaller-body designs have different balance, projection and packing dimensions. Scale length, nut width and neck profile should match the player group in the target market.
What to include in an acoustic guitar inquiry

target country, customer group and expected retail position;
body shape, size, scale length and cutaway requirement;
top, back, side, neck and fingerboard material preferences;
finish, binding, rosette, logo and other visual details;
tuner, pickup and accessory requirements;
packaging method, estimated quantity and sample deadline.

From sample approval to bulk production
During sampling, the specification sheet and revision notes should record the approved appearance, neck feel, action, fret condition, bridge position, hardware and packaging. These records are more useful than approving a sample only by photographs. Before shipment, inspection should refer back to the same approved points.
