Electric bass options for OEM projects
A bass specification should begin with the player and market, not only a reference photo. Buyers normally need to confirm the string count, scale length, neck construction, fingerboard, pickup layout, bridge, tuners, finish and packaging before the sample is released.
Four-string and five-string projects place different demands on the neck, nut, bridge spacing, pickups and overall balance. Active and passive electronics also require different control layouts and testing points. When a requested component is not fixed, mark it as open to a factory proposal so the quotation can show a practical option.
What to include in an electric bass inquiry

target country, customer and price position;
four- or five-string format and scale length;
body, neck and fingerboard requirements;
pickup, control, bridge and tuner level;
finish, logo, labels and packaging;
estimated quantity and sample approval points.

During sample review, buyers should check neck relief, fret condition, truss-rod adjustment, weight and strap balance, electronics, hardware installation, action and intonation. The approved specification and revision notes should then become the reference for bulk production.
